Identity Statement

At St. John's, we are affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We accept and welcome all who seek Jesus Christ. Our worship and teaching puts the focus squarely on Jesus Christ, who is present for us and with us through his Word and Sacraments. Our worship is, therefore, Christ-centered, not man-centered.

What Are You Looking For In A Church?

Many people today are looking for a place to belong where they can develop meaningful and fulfilling relationships, and where they can be inspired through a growing, faith based relationship with God. St. John's Lutheran Church is such a place.

At St. John's, We Believe:

The Bible is the Word of God - absolute truth. It shows God in action.

God is one God in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit: Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier.

The Church is all those people who sincerely accept and believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior.

The Creeds are statements of belief, not additions to the Bible. They summarize the Bible's teachings.

The Lord's Supper is the Body and Blood of Christ borne by bread and wine in Holy Communion.

St. John's Value Statements

Godly Leadership --We believe that both the pastor and laypersons that hold leadership positions within the congregation must, by the power of the Holy Spirit, be instruments of God's love and purpose for this congregation. This includes actively and enthusiastically supporting the various ministries of the church.

Bible Centered Preaching and Teaching --We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, which forms the foundation of our faith. Therefore, the Bible must be both preached and taught in its purity.

Fellowship and Community --We believe that we are brothers and sisters in Christ and as such share a strong bond through our faith, Lutheran doctrine and heritage. This is a caring congregation and we support each other and those in the community who are in need.

Active Laity --We believe that the laity must be involved in all aspects of ministry at St. John's. There are many opportunities for the laity to either actively serve or provide support for the various ministries that are vital to the life of the congregation.

Missions --We believe in and fully support the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in both local and Synodical missions.
