Holiness is much richer than good works and goes far deeper than morality. Holiness takes us deep into the mystery of Christ and His involvement with us. Christ is our holiness (1 Corinthians 1:30). By His human journey from the womb to the tomb, He created the way of holiness for us bodily, the way by which we can live as holy people together with Jesus the Son in the presence of His holy Father (Ephesians 1:3-4; Hebrews 10:19-22). We borrow our holiness from Him; we receive it from Him as His gift to us.
